Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite released on September 17th, 2017, and it featured just 30 playable characters in total. The smallest roster in the series since 1998’s Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes! Ever since, fans have been up in arms discussing in the game’s future, and inevitably rumours, leaks and speculation have run rampant.

While we previously covered Marvel vs. Capcom 4 in a prior Dream Roster article, this was long before Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was on the cards and we were… Overly ambitious to say the least. We felt like we wanted to have another stab at this and take into account the direction of MvC:I’s current roster, as well recent rumours, upcoming or recent character relevance, the MCU, popular veterans and fan popularity polls stretching back to Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

We decided to approach this one slightly differently. Rather than tackling the roster as a whole, we opted to delve into our vision of what the next 4 Season Passes could entail. Each pass contains 6 characters, with 3 characters on each the Marvel and Capcom side. With the exception of character pass 2, which contains 4 Capcom and 2 Marvel, to equalise the two sides. This would bring the total roster up to 54 fighters, just shy of the current peak of 56 as found in MvC2.
